The 28th Judicial Circuit CASA began hosting charity golf scrambles this summer. The first scramble was held Friday, May 30, 2008, @ Dix River Country Club in Stanford. The team from PBK Bank/Stanford won the 1st Annual CASA Swing Lincoln. Thanks to all who sponsored, contributed, volunteered & played. CASA is considering a second scramble, this time @ Cedar Rapids Country Club in Mt. Vernon. More information to come.
The 2nd Annual CASA Autumn Bash was held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, @ Cedar Creek Vineyard in Somerset. this was an open date for UK Football, and we were able to offer an autographed UK football as one of the many items in the silent auction. Many thanks to Jeff & Debbie Wiles, owners of Cedr Creek Vineyard. Also thanks to the 5-member band, “Out of Order”, for providing the musical entertainment. CASA is hosting its 1st car cruise, scheduled for 3:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2009, on the grounds of Lincoln County Baptist Center & Habitat for Humanity’s RV Park. Charlie Napier, DJ to the Cars, will be emceeing. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 registrants & trophies will be given to the top 2 fan favorites. There will be door prizes, concessions, corn hole tournament, silent auction and events. Registration fee will be a donation in the amount of your choosing.
